SO, my husband and I are going to be a host family for a foreign exchange student! We are THRILLED! Her name is Mahja, she is 15 and from Germany. She will be arriving in the big town of GLOBE sometime mid August and staying with our family for 10 months, we don't have all the details yet.
I have been speaking with the Host Family Coordinator so much, about what to expect and how should things go, you know this is our first time having a teenager live with us. Well she says that there are so many students still looking for host families, so if your interested go fill out your host family application here. I'll definitely be keeping you all updated!

That should be a fun adventure for your family. Most likely she speaks English since she's from Germany which will help a lot. Keep us posted on how things go.
How exciting! My parents still keep in touch with the exchange student they had (after I was gone). We definitely need to do something. The heat is crazy, but this cooler weather has really been nice. But sooo humid!
