Donating

It was TIME to clean out the play room. I told Joslyn that we had to give away some of her and Kennedy's toys to other kids who don't have very many. She freaked at first, but to my surprise soon joined in! I was so proud of her. "Mom can I give this to the kids?" At first she said they could just barrow her stuff and that they could give it back tomorrow. Eventually she said they could keep it, (with bribe of a new wading pool). She even helped me carry most of it outside so I could load it in the car. We ended up with five garbage sacks and one grocery bag (Which was Joslyn's bag, she went around filling it up on her own.) I hope that our kids can see Aaron and I doing things for others and learn to do the same. By donating old toys or volunteering time, whatever it is, every little bit helps!

Before I could get it all in the car, Joslyn posed for a picture!

Birthday Fish'n

Aaron just had a birthday, he turned 29! For his birthday he wanted us all to go fishing. We went up to Senneca Lake, and it was a DISASTER! The kids were VERY fussy. BUT, Joslyn caught her very first fish, and daddy caught a few too.

Here are some things I LOVE about my hubby!
He has great legs.
If we were ever stuck in the woods, I would feel very safe, and KNOW that we wouldn't starve, Aaron hunts just about everything.
When I feel like I am on kitchen overload, he always does the dishes.
I am a spaz, and he loves me anyway, and he can handle my mood swings, and LOVES my spazzy family.
He lets me special order my food, anywhere we go, and isn't even bothered by it.
He never makes excuses for my wacky behavior, he just says that's Heather.
He plays hide and seek with the kids almost everyday.
He went to EVERY SINGLE doctors appointment I had with all three pregnancies, EVEN though our Dr.'s office is two hours away, AND sometimes he would be just getting off graveyard.
He works harder, and more hours than anyone I know, to provide as much as he can for our family.
When he can tell I have had to much kid time, and need some mommy time, he takes the kids out. I don't have to ask, he just does it.
I love the way his bum looks in a pair of wranglers.
He always eats whatever I cook, even if I won't eat it, AND says thanks for dinner hun, that was good.
He takes me to see my mom and dad whenever I want.
He tells me I am beautiful everyday-even if I am still in my pj's when he gets home!
Happy Birthday SWEET ANGEL!

Big Girls!

This is the girls after they dressed themselves AND fixed their own hair!

Middle: Kennedy saying cheese to me, while looking at her sister.
Bottom: Joslyn doing "Ruby's Ballet Move"?

Holden rolls!

The other day I came into the living room and this is what I found! Holden rolled over, onto his tummy!

Well Children!

Whelp, it was time for the Girls and Holden to make a visit to the Doctors office for their well child exams! So here's the news!
Holden is weighing in at 13.9lbs, Aaron and I "bet" how much he would weigh. I said 14lbs. Get this, AARON SAID 25!!! He's crazy. Holden is our chubbiest baby, I think that's why Aaron was so far off. He is 26 inches long, and is doing WONDERFUL, minus a small case of eczema. He was putting on a show for Dr. Omari-it was hilarious. He was cooing, growling, kicking, pushing, oh it was funny. On a down side, he had to get five shots. I HATE shots. I still cry whenever needles come my way, OR when the kids get pricked. A little history for ya, when Jos was born we took her to get her newborn screening I went in with her and as soon as she started I couldn't quit crying, Aaron had to take over while I sat in the waiting room sobbing like a crazy person, and ever since then I DO NOT DO SHOTS OR LABS! Luckily I have a smashing husband who does the dirty work for me. For some reason I thought I could hold on to little Holdie while he got immunized. I will never do it again. He cried so hard, and I felt horrible. WHICH brings me to another subject, (boy can I ramble!) my sister has a son who is Kennedy's age and a boyfriend who is a looser, anyhow, this boyfriend has a daughter from a previous relationship (Why do people keep bringing babies into this world when they can't even take care of themselves, and have know clue if they are going to be with the co-creator in another six months, by the way?) anyhow, the mom of my sisters boyfriends daughter doesn't immunize her child, SOOOO my sisters boyfriend says why make Asher (my sisters son) go through all that, if everyone else is up to date he shouldn't catch anything. Needless to say my sisters boyfriend is an IDIOT MORON. It's your job as a parent to immunize your children! BUT, back to Holden. He quit crying as soon as I could pick him up, and slept for most of the day after.
Here are some of Holden's Dr. visit snap shots!
Now, for Kennedy. She weighs 25lbs and is 90 cm tall. She was doing great until the hearing portion of the exam. She didn't pass on her right ear. HOWEVER, the Dr. said that she has an ear infection in both ears, so that might have something to do with it. Dr. Omari will give her another hearing test in 3 or 4 weeks, and if she fails again we'll take her to Phoenix Children's to see whats going on in there! Because of her ear infection we didn't get shots for Keke. I was the most nervous for her shot, since she is soooo emotional, like her mother.

Here are Keke's Dr. visit snap shots!

Joslyn weighed 30lbs, and was 96 cm tall! Her and Kennedy are so close together! Joslyn did very well Dr. Omari said her had large tonsils, and we should keep an eye on 'em. Joslyn only had to get one shot, to which she said, "Momma, that stingeded me." She was also very protective over the other two, saying "Keke, it's ok-SEE?", and to Holden "oh bubba please don't cry, I'll give you some ice cream when we get home, k?", and to the Dr. "What are you doing? That's my brother/sister.) She always does such a good job!

Here are her pics!

And that's all, folks!

Kennedy is 2!

Kennedy turned 2, April 3, this year. We only had a small dinner and cake since at the end of the month she will be having a pirate/princess party with her cousin Asher in Flag! WE love to go to Flagstaff, my parents live there, along with my sister and nephew Asher. It is always so pretty! The weather is always cooler, and this way the mess is at my moms! HA! Anywho- These are a few of my fave cake pictures! She sure did enjoy herself!

For the love of SNOW BOOTS!

For some odd reason, I loved my snow boots! (PLEASE note how much cuter my daughters hair is compared to mine! What the heck was my mom thinking???? Also note that I will NEVER do that hair mess to any of my lil' girlies! lol) I wore them until my feet were just too big for them to fit. Even now, I wear my Uggs until it's well into triple digit weather. And now, my poor daughter has inherited this same love. Call me crazy, but I think we look SUPER cute!

April FOOLS!

Anyone who knows us, knows my husband has a second wife. His sand rail. It is his pride and joy, and we recently just sunk a sizable amount of money into-YET AGAIN! A missing sand rail would be a SUPER DUPER Aprils Fools joke! Originally I wanted to move it before he went to work, and let him discover that it was "stolen". The kids didn't allow me the time to do this. But, Aaron was working graveyard shift, so I still had an opportunity.

Aaron: Hello?

Me: Please tell me you brought the rail to your moms? (sometimes he brings the rail to his parents house to do extra "work" on it)

Aaron: What? WHAT? WHAT?

Me: I SAID please tell me you took the rail to your moms?

Aaron: DON"T TELL ME THIS! My rail is gone, what the &*%$? I can't believe this. IT"S STOLEN?! MY RAIL!!!! WHAT?

Me: APRIL FOOLS!!!!

Aaron: DON"T YOU EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN!

SO, this wasn't as good as if he saw it gone for himself but it was it was still good. I couldn't keep it up any longer than that. The stress in his voice was priceless, and I do love him, so I didn't want him to have a heart attack.

Burning DOWN the House!

Yes. I did. I almost burnt the house down. HOWEVER, the fault was not mine alone. See my husband has this gross little habit. He fries eggs. In a cast iron pan. THEN he saves the pan, grease and all, YUCK. I can't stand to look at it, so I always stick it under the stove (we have an older stove where the bottom drawer isn't really a drawer, it's like a warmer or something) SO generally when I use the oven I take out that nasty little pan. Yesterday, I forgot. I blame it on my mommy brain-if your a mom you know what I am talking about. I also blame my husband, for even having this pan in the first place. I was making the girls DINO NUGGETS, they love these from costco. All of the sudden my kitchen is full of black smoke. I was freak'n out! I grabbed Holden stuck him in the saucer put him outside, grabbed Jos and Keke and said "you get to babysit bubba! They loved that. And THEN I called to my husband! AARON.....he comes in the kitchen so casual. He opens the bottom drawer, FLAMES EVERYWHERE! He just grabs the baking soda and then the fire was out. "GA BABE, you trying to burn the house down?" Are you kidding me right now? NO I am not trying to burn the house down, I am trying to make lunch for the girls-I forgot about the pan. He was amused, clearly I was not. On a good note, the egg pan is D O N E. On a bad note, NONE of our smoke detectors worked, and we didn't own a fire extinguisher.
DO you get "mommy brain"? Do you own a fire extinguisher? When was the last time you checked your smoke detectors?

Oh, mom your so funny! Joslyn Isabelle tells me this more than five times a day. She has to be one of the most happy go lucky girls ever! She loves her dance class, brushing her teeth, yogurt, wrestling with her sister, Cinderella, holding her brother and going on rail rides with her daddy! She was named after A Knights Tale-the female lead is named Joslyn (Daddy picked it out), and Isabelle after her great Grandma Ida Isabelle Pennucci. I can remember when I was little thinking about what my baby would look like, and since I LOVED Shirley Temple, I figured that's what my daughter would look like. And doesn't she? She has such beautiful ringlets and big blue eyes! Joslyn is always quick to remind me that stupid is not a nice word, and how silly everything is. "Mom, just laugh, it's so silly, ha ha ha." She is also my problem potty trainer! ANY ADVICE???
She can't wait to be big, like my bum, lol, and so she can do dishes, and drive. Oh, she is so much fun, the things she says and does make me smile all day!
