Happy Birthday to me!

Today I turn 28. No big plans, Aaron bought me ice cream, we ate that instead of cake. Which was perfect because this heat and humidity is making me batty. We are headed to the lake this weekend, still I am saving all my party mojo for when I turn 30. Then I will have a huge birthday party, 2 years in the making, lol, and your all invited. It will be like my super sweet 30. AWESOME! I just KNOW thirty is gonna be a BLAST!
Also I got a snazzy new coffee maker from my mom! YES......(in the words of Napoleon Dynamite) Joslyn in spite of her fear of the camera, NOT, decided to pose with it for a few snapshots!

Foreign Exchange!

SO, my husband and I are going to be a host family for a foreign exchange student! We are THRILLED! Her name is Mahja, she is 15 and from Germany. She will be arriving in the big town of GLOBE sometime mid August and staying with our family for 10 months, we don't have all the details yet.
I have been speaking with the Host Family Coordinator so much, about what to expect and how should things go, you know this is our first time having a teenager live with us. Well she says that there are so many students still looking for host families, so if your interested go fill out your host family application here. I'll definitely be keeping you all updated!

Dance recital

Joslyn's dance recital was so super cute, I could hardley contain myself! They did two numbers, Tina's Tap Shoes, and Bubbles in the Tub. I was so proud of her! I am also very happy not to hear the chorus to Tina's Tap Shoes any longer
"AND she said Tip Tap Tip Tap TIP TAP TIP TAP TIP TAP....."
The girls would run around the house singing that for hours on end, it was cute IN THE BEGINING!

Silly daddy!

Happy Fourth!

The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday, (NEXT to CHRISTMAS of course!)
This is The G, AS IN GLOBE, painted oh so patriotic! We hope everyone has a fantastic and safe Independence Day!

Ready to ride!

Sky and Jos (and Keke normally but she was napping this day) are always ready for a ride on the rail!

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Yay for the Favorite Things Swap! I had so much fun with this and my swap partner was FABULOUS!
Here is what I sent her

Here is what she sent me

I love love love evrything she sent, this was so much fun I can't wait for the next one!

Take me out to the ball game!

Although softball is over, everytime we drive past the field the girls say "are we going to sissy's game?" Sky wasn't into cheer camp-she does sports instead, she said. She's not a girly girl, she also said.

Cheerleaders?

The girls did a pom/cheer camp hosted by the local high school dance team. Joslyn really enjoyed herself. Kennedy on the other hand stomped around saying "I don want TO!" for the entire practice. Oh well. Their picture made it into our local news paper, I gotta clip it for the scrap book!

Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

This made me laugh, made me cry, made me realize how blessed I truly am, and gave me a WHOLE new out look on life! Take the time to watch it.

Dancing Queens!

The girls went to a summer dance camp for two weeks, an hour a day. They had a blast! It was a fairytale theme, they did 101 Dalmations, Lion King, Cinderella, just to name a few. It was really cute!

WEE GO

I just LOVE these darn bottles. They are pricey, but well worth it! Not only do they look super cool, but they are BPA free. Holden loves the textures on the sleeve, which helps prevent breaking. The sleeve really does work, I have knocked them off of my counter twice with only one issue-the ring around the nipple broke, BUT the glass itself stayed intact! They are a little heavy, but I expected that with a glass bottle. I bought two form here, in the orange and ocean. I can 't wait to order the yellow and sky, so I don't have to wash so many times a day!

Who's A SUPER QT????

HOLDEN IS! My little guy is so AWESOME. This kid is a breeze, and can you tell he is going to be a loooooker when he grows up?

Graduation!

My niece Melissa Dawn Lee graduated high school this May. That, and the fact that I am getting ready for my ten year reunion, could be making me feel a little more "mature" than I had realized! Heck! I'm still a spring chick, I don't care what anyone says!

Are ya diggin' it?

Diggers and Rakers, That's right. We bought the girls mini shovels and rakes, which they have been incessantly obsessing over MORNING and night. Here are some photos I took at their request. Little hams!

So it has been a while

In celebration of Earth Day, Skyley made a poster and recieved 2nd place for it! I am not exactley sure what the picture is, but we are proud of her none the less. The city had an award ceremony at the court house during a city council meeting, it was a big to do!

Donating

It was TIME to clean out the play room. I told Joslyn that we had to give away some of her and Kennedy's toys to other kids who don't have very many. She freaked at first, but to my surprise soon joined in! I was so proud of her. "Mom can I give this to the kids?" At first she said they could just barrow her stuff and that they could give it back tomorrow. Eventually she said they could keep it, (with bribe of a new wading pool). She even helped me carry most of it outside so I could load it in the car. We ended up with five garbage sacks and one grocery bag (Which was Joslyn's bag, she went around filling it up on her own.) I hope that our kids can see Aaron and I doing things for others and learn to do the same. By donating old toys or volunteering time, whatever it is, every little bit helps!

Before I could get it all in the car, Joslyn posed for a picture!

Birthday Fish'n

Aaron just had a birthday, he turned 29! For his birthday he wanted us all to go fishing. We went up to Senneca Lake, and it was a DISASTER! The kids were VERY fussy. BUT, Joslyn caught her very first fish, and daddy caught a few too.

Here are some things I LOVE about my hubby!
He has great legs.
If we were ever stuck in the woods, I would feel very safe, and KNOW that we wouldn't starve, Aaron hunts just about everything.
When I feel like I am on kitchen overload, he always does the dishes.
I am a spaz, and he loves me anyway, and he can handle my mood swings, and LOVES my spazzy family.
He lets me special order my food, anywhere we go, and isn't even bothered by it.
He never makes excuses for my wacky behavior, he just says that's Heather.
He plays hide and seek with the kids almost everyday.
He went to EVERY SINGLE doctors appointment I had with all three pregnancies, EVEN though our Dr.'s office is two hours away, AND sometimes he would be just getting off graveyard.
He works harder, and more hours than anyone I know, to provide as much as he can for our family.
When he can tell I have had to much kid time, and need some mommy time, he takes the kids out. I don't have to ask, he just does it.
I love the way his bum looks in a pair of wranglers.
He always eats whatever I cook, even if I won't eat it, AND says thanks for dinner hun, that was good.
He takes me to see my mom and dad whenever I want.
He tells me I am beautiful everyday-even if I am still in my pj's when he gets home!
Happy Birthday SWEET ANGEL!

Big Girls!

This is the girls after they dressed themselves AND fixed their own hair!

Middle: Kennedy saying cheese to me, while looking at her sister.
Bottom: Joslyn doing "Ruby's Ballet Move"?

Holden rolls!

The other day I came into the living room and this is what I found! Holden rolled over, onto his tummy!

Well Children!

Whelp, it was time for the Girls and Holden to make a visit to the Doctors office for their well child exams! So here's the news!
Holden is weighing in at 13.9lbs, Aaron and I "bet" how much he would weigh. I said 14lbs. Get this, AARON SAID 25!!! He's crazy. Holden is our chubbiest baby, I think that's why Aaron was so far off. He is 26 inches long, and is doing WONDERFUL, minus a small case of eczema. He was putting on a show for Dr. Omari-it was hilarious. He was cooing, growling, kicking, pushing, oh it was funny. On a down side, he had to get five shots. I HATE shots. I still cry whenever needles come my way, OR when the kids get pricked. A little history for ya, when Jos was born we took her to get her newborn screening I went in with her and as soon as she started I couldn't quit crying, Aaron had to take over while I sat in the waiting room sobbing like a crazy person, and ever since then I DO NOT DO SHOTS OR LABS! Luckily I have a smashing husband who does the dirty work for me. For some reason I thought I could hold on to little Holdie while he got immunized. I will never do it again. He cried so hard, and I felt horrible. WHICH brings me to another subject, (boy can I ramble!) my sister has a son who is Kennedy's age and a boyfriend who is a looser, anyhow, this boyfriend has a daughter from a previous relationship (Why do people keep bringing babies into this world when they can't even take care of themselves, and have know clue if they are going to be with the co-creator in another six months, by the way?) anyhow, the mom of my sisters boyfriends daughter doesn't immunize her child, SOOOO my sisters boyfriend says why make Asher (my sisters son) go through all that, if everyone else is up to date he shouldn't catch anything. Needless to say my sisters boyfriend is an IDIOT MORON. It's your job as a parent to immunize your children! BUT, back to Holden. He quit crying as soon as I could pick him up, and slept for most of the day after.
Here are some of Holden's Dr. visit snap shots!
Now, for Kennedy. She weighs 25lbs and is 90 cm tall. She was doing great until the hearing portion of the exam. She didn't pass on her right ear. HOWEVER, the Dr. said that she has an ear infection in both ears, so that might have something to do with it. Dr. Omari will give her another hearing test in 3 or 4 weeks, and if she fails again we'll take her to Phoenix Children's to see whats going on in there! Because of her ear infection we didn't get shots for Keke. I was the most nervous for her shot, since she is soooo emotional, like her mother.

Here are Keke's Dr. visit snap shots!

Joslyn weighed 30lbs, and was 96 cm tall! Her and Kennedy are so close together! Joslyn did very well Dr. Omari said her had large tonsils, and we should keep an eye on 'em. Joslyn only had to get one shot, to which she said, "Momma, that stingeded me." She was also very protective over the other two, saying "Keke, it's ok-SEE?", and to Holden "oh bubba please don't cry, I'll give you some ice cream when we get home, k?", and to the Dr. "What are you doing? That's my brother/sister.) She always does such a good job!

Here are her pics!

And that's all, folks!

Kennedy is 2!

Kennedy turned 2, April 3, this year. We only had a small dinner and cake since at the end of the month she will be having a pirate/princess party with her cousin Asher in Flag! WE love to go to Flagstaff, my parents live there, along with my sister and nephew Asher. It is always so pretty! The weather is always cooler, and this way the mess is at my moms! HA! Anywho- These are a few of my fave cake pictures! She sure did enjoy herself!
